  1. Hello. Could someone please tell me how I would go about performing my poetry at the Leopard? The e-mail on this website does not work and I would really like to perform my work. Thank you. Immodium Nitrate.

Thanks Immodium Nitrate. I’m not sure why the email on the site isn’t working, but I’ll look into that. As for reading at The Leopard, we do offer guest poet slots – as you can see we’ve had Roger Elkin, Michael Hulse, Peter Branson and Jeffrey Wainwright recently – with Martin Figura and Helen Ivory next week (22nd October).

The format isn’t open-mic but rather a reading followed by questions and comments then opportunity for people to share and discuss their own work. I’ll get in touch via your Facebook page to discuss how we do things and what the opportunities are. Meanwhile, if you are interested in open-mic events, City Voices run an open-mic at The Leopard on the last Tuesday of each month, I think. I also run a Poems & Pints session every other month at The Lodge in Alsager. I usually put the dates on The Leopard once I’ve arranged them.

Thanks for your interest. I’ll get in touch and look forward to seeing or hearing some of your work.
